Mutton korma

Ingredients

  • 4 Clove
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 5 Black Pepper
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 3 Green Cardamom
  • 10-12 Cashew Nuts
  • 1/2 cup fried Onion
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 kg Mutton Curry cut
  • 3 tsp Ginger Garlic Green  Paste
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 2 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri mirch(red chili) Powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • Salt to taste
Instructions
  • Wash mutton and mix curd,salt & turmeric ,marinate for one hour .
  •  Roast all the whole spices(clove,cardamom,cinnamon,peppers,bay leaves and cashew nuts)
  •  Put them in a grinder  with fried onion and add little water to make a  paste.
  • Heat oil and ghee in a kadai/pressure cooker.
  • Put mutton pieces and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the  paste with ginger garlic paste and fry for 3 minutes.
  • Now add curd, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Add 1&1/2 cups of water and close the lid  of the cooker & give 3-4 whistle
  • Remove the cooker from heat and let the pressure release.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
