Chingrir Malai Curry /  Prawn Curry with Coconut Milk

ingrediants

  • 1/2 kg prawn
  • 2 Cinnamon stick
  • 2 chopped onions 
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 2 tablespoon garlic ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 teaspoon ghee
  • 1 tspoon ghee
  • 150 ml oil
  • 4 number clove
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup thick coconut milk
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 cup hot water

 Method

  • .Rub the prawns with  turmeric powder and  salt. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  • Fry the prawns for 2 minutes and transfer to a plate and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add whole spices and stir for 2 minutes. 
  • Then add finely chopped onions, until they change light brown in color.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, tomato,turmeric powder and chilly powder and salt to taste. 
  • Spray little water and cook until their raw smell leaves and oil separates. 
  • Add coconut milk and mix well. 
  • Add prawns and cook for 5 minutes until gravy becomes medium thick. 
  • Add sugar, ghee and garam masala powder .Turn off the flame.
  • Serve hot with rice.
